Features Snooze and gestures

Let it come back when you can deal with it

Half the emails you leave unread are not unimportant: they are just not for right now. Snooze them and they come back to your inbox exactly when you say, right at the top.

What it is

You swipe an email, choose when you want it back — this afternoon, tomorrow, next week, or the exact day and time — and it leaves your inbox. It is kept in Snoozed, and at the chosen moment it reappears as if it had just arrived. No reminders in another app, no parallel to-do lists: the reminder is the email itself.

How it works

1

Swipe

One gesture on the email opens the quick actions: snooze, archive, delete or flag. With haptics, so you know it landed.

2

Pick the when

The usual options one tap away, plus a date and time picker for whatever does not fit.

3

And forget about it

It comes back on its own, at the top, marked as new. Change your mind and you can bring it back early from Snoozed.

The details you actually feel

  • Archive, delete, move and flag, all with gestures.
  • The action menu is the system’s own, not one we drew ourselves.
  • It also works with IMAP accounts that have no snooze of their own.

Quick questions

Where is it in the meantime?

In a Snoozed folder inside your own mailbox. If you open your mail from another program it is still there: nothing gets lost.
